Am I A Crank?

My name is Brian Heywood.  I am 76 years of age and I spend a great deal of my time working with others to enlighten our citizens about the dangers of the European Union. Obviously, after making that statement I expect that some people will immediately say yes to the crank question without bothering to read any further.

But I wonder how many British supporters of the EU would still say yes if they had shared my experiences during the period 1970 to 1985?  This website contains a link to a document containing the first release of these experiences and evidence is available to prove the claims I am making. During this fifteen-year period I carried out a number of ‘marketing – in depth research’ investigations for British Government departments and major British companies.  In my very first research investigation I discovered that in one agricultural area our Government had signed a deal with our Continental neighbours that worked against the interest of the British producers.  I assumed and was told that it was a silly mistake that would be corrected in due course.  I could not believe our Government would do anything to harm British Industry – so I took no action.

But when I kept discovering similar ‘mistakes’ and realised that most of them must be part of the entry fee for joining the Common Market I became depressed.  I became even more depressed when I discovered the extent of a long-term gift to the USA,
